Bio:

Dr. Takeshi Ogita is a professor of Numerical Analysis at Department of Applied Mathematics, Waseda University, Tokyo, Japan. He received his Ph.D. from Waseda University in 2003. After completion of his degree he was appointed as a Visiting Lecturer at Waseda University. In 2008 he moved to TWCU, Tokyo Woman's Christian University. He served as the Director of the Center for Information Science at TWCU six years since 2014. In 2011 he was appointed as an invited professor at University of Perpignan, France. In 2023 he came back to Waseda University. His work focuses specifically on verified numerical computations for numerical linear algebra and development of accurate numerical algorithms. He served the leader of a Post-K (later called "Fugaku") Supercomputer Project to enhance a cooperative relationship between verified numerical computations and high-performance computing.
